Earlier this month, we hosted our annual ACPE Dance Conference for our first-year Bachelor of Dance Practice, Bachelor of Dance Education and Bachelor of Health Science (Dance) students.
This is always an action-packed day filled with talks, workshops and dance classes presented by industry professionals ranging from dance studio owners to independent dance artists, creative producers, community dance facilitators and teachers. For our dance students, this is a mandatory and valuable work-integrated learning (WIL) component of their course.
The Dance Conference gives students networking opportunities, awareness about different career avenues and the opportunity to ask specific questions about the dance industry, gaining work experience and general tips and advice.
We’d like to thank these guest presenters for their time and expertise in making the day a success:
Jayde Bond (Studio Owner – Electric Dance N’ Arts)
Lauren Vassallo (Creative Producer and Program Manager – March Dance)
Stephanie Maroun (Dance Educator)
Renata Commisso (Community Dance Facilitator)
Sue Healey (Independent Dance Artist)
Joel Houwen (Independent Dance Artist)
