Pathway to Education

The direct entry requirements for education degrees are sometimes just out of reach of students aspiring to become teachers. If you did not meet the direct entry requirements (3 Band 5s, one of which being English) in the HSC, you may be eligible for entry into the Pathway course.
Pathway to Education

Want to become a teacher but didn’t meet the direct entry requirements?

This pathway allows you to begin studying while working toward entry into an Education degree.

What is a pathway degree?

A pathway degree shares the same first-year subjects as the teaching degree. This means you won’t lose any credit if you transfer.

You may be eligible to transfer into the Education degree if you:

  • Achieve a credit average in your first year, or
  • Successfully complete the ACER LANTITE test.

The pathway does not add extra time to your studies.
