The Undergraduate Certificate in Sports Coaching is designed to meet the needs of individuals currently working in the industry, while providing flexibility and convenience via online learning.
Those employed in sport coaching, coach development, or athlete/player development can now take advantage of additional educational opportunities to develop their professional knowledge and skills, enhance their current practice and their career development.
In addition, you can receive Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) credit. The academic credit earned from this course can go towards your studies in Bachelor of Sport Coaching (Management), Bachelor of Sport Coaching (Strength and Conditioning), or Bachelor of Football (Development, Management and Performance).

Gareth Long is ACPE’s Director of Program Innovation and Development and an experienced educator, coach, and coach developer. Gareth has an MSc in Sport Coaching from Loughborough University, and in addition to a career working in schools and universities Gareth has worked for the English Football Association and Sport Australia.
Tim Palmer is a lecturer in Sport Coaching at ACPE. He also works as head of player and coach development and a key member of the Pararroos’ coaching staff. Tim is also an experienced video analyst in elite sport.
Dr. Luiz Uehara is a lecturer in Sport Coaching at ACPE, coach and sport scientist. Luiz specialises in motor learning and skill acquisition, and has published extensively on non-linear pedagogy and the development of sporting expertise.

This course is for individuals who have been working in sport coaching or a related industry for at least two years. You will have to meet the following requirements:
The Undergraduate Certificate for Sport Coaching can be completed over six weeks via online study at Sydney Olympic Park.
Each of the four units will run one at a time over a six-month period. The units will be delivered with two sport coaching-related topics explored each week.
