Bored of the gym? Why not try these unique fitness crazes?

Let’s face it, the gym is not for everybody, lifting weights, treadmills, push ups, some people prefer a more unique exercise experience than what a gym can provide. These unusual workouts let you dance, bounce, swing and climb your way to a healthier you, and you’ll have a ball getting there.

If you can’t make it to a class you can make your run a lot more fun along these scenic running routes in Sydney. Then, cool off in one of these ocean pools.

Rollerskating

Yes, you read that, right! Everything from cardio endurance to agility and balance is covered with Rollerfit. Located in Sydney’s Tempe the team at Rollerfit will allow you to burn those calories and work up a sweat. If you want to get into Roller Derby, this is also the perfect opportunity for you to learn the ropes before diving straight in.

Let’s say you have never skated before or it has been a few too many years since your last roll around. That is not an issue with these guys either. Most of the classes already cater to all levels of skaters. Don’t have skates? You can buy or hire from them. Don’t have protective gear? You can get that too. All you need to bring with you is a positive attitude, so why not check out their timetable https://www.rollerfit.com.au/tempe/.

Bouldering

9 Degrees is a bouldering gym located in Parramatta, where climbers don’t use ropes or harnesses but instead scale shorter walls beside thick, padded flooring. The benefit here is that you won’t need a climbing partner, equipment or much training – you can strap on a pair of shoes and explore the centre’s different climbs in nine degrees of difficulty, from entry level to competition levels.

They will explain what you need to do in 30 seconds, no seriously, and away you go. You really can do it by yourself, with a partner, or you can even bring a large group. There are no age limits so that you can bring your children while you workout. And for the tiny ones they have plenty of space to accommodate prams.

There is no excuse, give the guys at 9 Degrees a call or come by the venue today: http://www.9degreesparramatta.com.au/contact-9dp
