Sports Coaching is going through a phase of rapid progression and expansion. If you're currently in year 12 and dreaming of a career in sports, health science, dance, sports coaching or business then you will be pleased to know that according to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook Website which provides information about Australian careers, labour market trends and employment projections the jobs growth expected in the sports and physical education industry is expected to be ranked 4 out of 5 also referred to as ‘Strong growth'

A specialised degree that will equip you with the skills to understand and optimise individual and team performance of athletes which includes coaching, sports performance and analysis, and strength and conditioning of athletes and teams. (CRICOS 095597B).
This specialised degree equips you with the skills and knowledge to understand and optimise individual and team performance in terms of coaching, sport performance and analysis but also includes fundamentals of sports business. (CRICOS 106005C).
I’m in my second year at ACPE of Sports Coaching S&C.
My experiences are all from the UK completing my EUAFA B while coaching at Chorley FC, Blackburn FC and Burnley FC Academies 8-18 year olds. I represented England as a Goalkeeper Coach for their 19-23s and was the leading GK Coach in this age group for 3 years.
Its a great honour to be a part of the coaching group at LFC NSW as it allows me to keep progressing as a coach along with philosophies I am accustomed to coaching in England, including being my boyhood club.
I started studying at ACPE in 2016 and finished in 2019 with a Bachelor of Sports Coaching (Strength & Conditioning) degree. In 2020 I started studying at Sydney University and finished in 2021 with a Master of Education (Sports Coaching) degree with a distinction average and have since started teaching at Sydney Uni and I am just about to start my A License coaching badge.
Since starting with the LFC academy it’s been such a close group of vastly experienced coaches where we are able to share anything and everything. I truely believe this is the place to be to develop as an individual whether as a player or a coach.
Joshua Jacka
I began coaching after I had an injury and instantly fell in love with it. I began at my local club and have moved through the different leagues in NSW and have experienced coaching in Skill Acquisition, Youth and Senior Football both men’s and women’s. I wanted to turn this passion into a career and decided study at ACPE in the Bachelor of Sports Coaching (Management) degree. My time at ACPE has given me a vast range of knowledge and experiences that have helped me develop as a coach. Through this I am now the Administration officer at the Liverpool FC International Academy NSW, as well as coaching in the National Premier League. My dream is to work for my favourite club one day.

Around the world the LFC International Academies provide young players with an opportunity to develop, learning new techniques and skills, all under the guidance of top quality coaching staff.
In partnership with ACPE, Liverpool FC International Academy NSW offers something different and something unique by developing players both on and off the pitch, educating them through experiences that will shape their progression into young adults and giving them skills that can be used throughout their lives.
The overall aims are to bring LFC to our Sydney fans and to demonstrate just how special the football club is.

ACPE has entered into an agreement with Liverpool Football Club to deliver the International Academy program in Sydney for the first time.
Liverpool FC International Academies are an authentic LFC junior coaching program that deliver grass roots football development to around 40,000 young people around the world every year. Liverpool FC International Academy NSW will bring together the sports teaching expertise and resources of ACPE with the proven football development methodology and philosophy of Liverpool Football Club.
Our initial plans involve partnering with a limited number of schools around Sydney to provide a combination of after school coaching and in school football sessions for boys and girls of all skill levels. There are lots of options for parents of young players, but none are Liverpool Football Club and none have an education partner like ACPE.
This combination enables us to deliver more than a football training program.
