2024: Inspire Inclusion
Today we celebrate all achievements of women & inspire inclusion. As more young women embrace a career in sport, we continue to play a vital role in supporting their growth and success. We aim to inspire students and the wider community to break barriers and pursue passions fearlessly!
Gender positivity is embedded into ACPEs’ history, with the college opening as a physical education training institute for young women. Since then, countless women have walked through our doors and ticked off multiple accomplishments. In this present day, we are proud to have a 50% female board, 75% of females on our executive team and an amazing 61% currently working at ACPE. We also have a large percentage of female students currently studying with us in hopes to purse a career in sport.

ACPE’s contribution to gender equality in education
In addition to our high female lecturer ratio, ACPE makes a conscious effort to include female guest lecturers to conduct workshops. This allows our students the chance to connect with many accomplished women who have made significant contributions to the sports and physical education sectors. These role models serve as inspirations, proving that gender should never be a barrier to success in sports-related professions.

Message from our CEO
“Women’s Day serves as a powerful reminder of the indomitable spirit and extraordinary accomplishments of women across the globe. The Matildas, with their remarkable performance, have not only defied stereotypes but have also ignited a sense of pride in the hearts of Australians. Their journey exemplifies the resilience, determination, and passion that define women in sport. The feminine voice resonates with strength and determination, constantly challenging boundaries, breaking barriers, and nurturing aspirations with unwavering resolve.
As a college, it’s imperative to recognize and honour the invaluable contributions of women in both sports and education. By amplifying their voices, supporting their endeavours, and fostering an environment of equality and inclusivity, we pave the way for a future where every woman and girl has equal opportunities to pursue their dreams and actualise their potential.
On this Women’s Day, we as a college celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women particularly in sport and education and reaffirm our commitment to championing their cause. Together, we continue to strive towards a world where gender equality is not just a goal but a lived reality, where every individual, regardless of gender, can thrive and fulfill their potential. Happy Women’s Day!” – Debbie Le Roux, ACPE CEO
