In Semester One 2022, ACPE had three Sports Business students complete work placements with the Australian International Sports Organisation (AUSISO). ACPE Career Advisor India-Rose Savini interviewed AUSISO and ACPE Student Victoria Cunningham, who was offered a position with the organisation, check out the video here.
AUSISO is a consulting business that supports local sports clubs/associations, schools, government, and health providers. The nature of the business provides students with a fantastic environment to work across a range of business operations including fundraising, strategic support, and sporting programs.
“The AUSISO internship is a really rewarding internship that allows students to partake in a range of sports activities across a variety of programs in a number of different settings” – Nicholas Toscan AUSISO Director
In Semester Two, sports business (SPB3203) and health science (PER2203) students will have the opportunity to choose AUSISO for work placement as part of their coursework. Work will focus on community sporting programs including the Usman Khawaja Foundation and Junior Australian Sports Program.
Students can also apply for a casual sports program officer position with AUSISO through Career Hub (open to alumni and current students, first time users will need to register).
