Inclusion Scholarship Details

Outline

The Inclusion Scholarship is designed to support and empower students from diverse backgrounds who have overcome barriers to access education. This scholarship empowers recipients to pursue their educational goals.

Consideration will be given to First Nations peoples, applicants from rural and remote communities within Australia, those living with a disability or individuals experiencing substantial financial or social disadvantage—the scholarship aims to remove obstacles to participation and achievement.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen residing permanently in Australia
  • Have completed the Australian Year 12 Higher School Certificate or equivalent
  • Be commencing studies at ACPE in a full-time undergraduate course in the study period of application
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of three study units in the study period of application and meet at least one of the following criteria:
    • A First Nations person
    • Be from a rural town or remote community within Australia
    • Have a diagnosed disability
    • Experiencing substantial financial or social disadvantage.

This scholarship is non deferable.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

  • The barriers and hardships to access education
  • Personal Statement
  • Supporting letter

Evidence Required

  • A well written Personal Statement of purpose where you express your academic goals. This should include an introduction about you and a paragraph (of no more than 100 words per paragraph) on each of the following:
    .
    • How will you contribute to ACPE and its community as a scholarship student?
    • Explain what you hope to achieve by studying this course
    • Describe how your involvement at a high level in sport, coaching, dance or officiating has contributed to the development of your personal attributes and the development of others.

  • Supporting evidence which may include a statutory declaration of the barriers and hardship faced
  • A letter from an independent referee to support your application
