The CEO’s Merit List Scholarships are offered to current students who demonstrate a high academic achievement and/or outstanding potential to be future leaders in each semester.

The Emerging Elite Athlete Performer Coach Scholarship

Elite Star Scholarship

ACPE understands the level of commitment, discipline and dedication required to excel at a high level in sport or dance and that this level of commitment to a sport places different demands on students to ensure that they can maintain good academic standing. The Elite Star Scholarships are intended for new students who have demonstrated a high level of commitment and achievement in dance or sport as an emerging athlete, performer or coach, and would benefit from financial support.

Gilchrist Foundation Scholarship

Gilchrist Foundation Scholarship

The Gilchrist Foundation’s mission is to assist eligible students in furthering their education and/or sporting ability through financial assistance and active mentoring. ACPE and the Gilchrist Foundation have two fee-relief scholarships for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students who meet the course entry requirements to study at ACPE.

Complete an online application form by visiting the ACPE website and submit all required documents for the scholarship you are applying for. Note that some scholarships require different supporting documentation.

The eligibility requirements will vary and depend on the scholarship you are applying for. Please check this brochure, the ACPE website for the eligibility requirements or contact our Student Enrolment Advisors for more information on 1300 302 867.

The selection criteria will vary depending on the scholarship you are applying for. It may include academic merit, non-academic pursuits, young leader attributes, evidence of circumstances and/or written statements. You can apply for an ACPE scholarship at any time up to an intake date, to allow sufficient time to review and process the application. Always check the ACPE website for the latest updates to scholarship deadlines or contact our Student Enrolment Advisors for more information on

You may apply for as many scholarships as you are eligible for but will only be eligible to be awarded one scholarship at any time.

Depending on the actual scholarship, an ACPE student may be eligible for more than one scholarship, but not two scholarships outright. Contact us for more details.

If you have applied for a scholarship, ACPE will contact you to advise you of the outcome. Applicants will be notified after the selection process has been completed, generally 2 weeks from the time of the application closing date.

Each scholarship has strict ongoing eligibility requirements. These requirements include maintaining a full-time study load (unless approved otherwise), maintaining a certain academic standard and completing your ACPE community service hours. In addition, all information will be outlined your scholarship letter of offer. If your study circumstances change, please contact scholarships@acpe.edu.au for further advice.

Your scholarship will be reactivated upon your return to studies, and you do not need to reapply for your scholarship.

If you withdraw from your course, then your scholarship will be cancelled. You will need to re-apply for a scholarship if you wish to return to study.

  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen residing permanently in Australia
  • have completed the Australian Year 12 Higher School Certificate or equivalent
  • be commencing studies at ACPE in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course in the study period of application
  • be enrolled in a minimum of three study units in the study period of application and meet at least one of the following criteria:
    • identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia
    • be from a rural town or remote community within Australia
    • have a physical disability, ongoing illness or advocating for inclusion
    • demonstrate high academic achievement
    • a part of the ACPE alumni network
      .

This scholarship is non deferable.

Evidence Required

  • A well written Personal Statement of purpose where you express your academic goals, field of interest, and how this scholarship is going to contribute to your academic and career aspirations. This response should highlight your passion, motivation, and impact you will have both as an ACPE student and in your area of study (coaching, dance, education, football, health, sport business). This should include an introduction about you and a paragraph (of no more than 100 words per paragraph) on each of the following:

    • Explain what you hope to achieve by studying this course
    • Describe how your passion in this area is going to drive your continued academic success and/or your career ambition in the sports industry
    • Show evidence of your previous involvement in sports, projects, academic competitions, independent study or accomplishments in the sports industry (to enhance your application)
    • How will you contribute to ACPE and its community as a scholarship student?

      Additional questions that may be applicable to some students:
    • Alumni: describe any personal skills and attributes you have developed over the years (e.g. communication, decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, inspire and motivating others), and give examples of how you’ve used these effectively
    • Students with a physical disability or ongoing illness: demonstrate how your involvement in sport or dance has made a positive impact on your community, school or team. Give examples of any initiatives or projects you have been a part of, including your advocacy in the sport or dance community for people with disabilities or ongoing illness

This scholarship is open to ACPE students, staff and alumni who refer their mate to study with us.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • both be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens residing permanently in Australia
  • both have completed the Australian Year 12 Higher School Certificate or other academic qualifications
  • meet the entry requirements of your chosen course (for new students)
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 3 units after census date and provided tuition fees have been paid (either FEE Help or direct fee payment)
    .

This scholarship is awarded for the specific study intake and cannot be deferred to a new start date.

Referrals will not be paid if the referred student has already submitted or started an application to enrol at ACPE at the time of the referral.

This scholarship is decided each semester by the Examiner’s committee and the CEO based on the student’s academic results and demonstrated initiative and motivation to succeed.

This scholarship is awarded for the specific study semester and cannot be deferred to a new start date. Students must also have a full-time study load in that study semester.

CEO’s Merit List Scholarships Application

There is no application form to be submitted.
These scholarships are awarded automatically following the review from the Examiner’s Committee and the CEO.

  • be an active member of a team (athlete or coach), dance company or an official participating at a representative level of sport or dance

  • proven outstanding sporting, coaching, officiating or performance achievement

  • commencing full-time study in any ACPE undergraduate course in the study period of application
  • be considered disadvantaged according to the following criteria: geographical isolation, Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, Ethnicity, Financial Hardship, family trauma, domestic violence, medical issues, single parenthood, physical disability or intellectual disability
