Where you belong, where you'll succeed

At ACPE, it’s never too late to start. No matter your situation, we have the entry pathways as well as scholarships to help you integrate and study at ACPE. Find where you belong today and let ACPE be the place where you succeed.

Entry Pathways for you

See below to find an Entry Pathway that suits you best. You can view more information by clicking the “+” icon to expand each item.

Are you under 21 years of age and have not completed Year 12? This may be the pathway for you. This pathway enables you to enrol in ONE ACPE foundation unit at no cost (conditions apply) and be considered for entry upon successful completion.

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible you need to be under 21 years of age and have not completed the HSC or an interstate equivalent qualification. If accepted on the pathway, you will enrol as a non-award student and be considered for admission into the degree based on your performance in the Foundation unit.

If you have been studying in another college or university and are considering a change. ACPE can help. With change, comes opportunity. Explore and switch to ACPE to revitalise your studies and accelerate your career.

At ACPE we are committed to your success. We know our approach works and we know our students love being a part of it – and we have no doubt that you will feel at home with us too.

Eligibility and requirements

If you have completed a minimum of 2-4 units of study in an accredited education provider, you can be considered for entry.

If you completed your units in a country other than Australia, the qualification must have been assessed as equivalent to an Australian qualification.

We value your experience. Fast track your study through the Recognition of Prior Learning. Upon receiving an offer from us, apply for credit for previous study by submitting an Application for Recognition of Prior Learning form along with all the relevant qualification information and verification documents to support your claim.

The Mature-age Entry Pathway is intended for students who haven’t studied for a while, may not have completed the HSC but have work and life experience and are now exploring potential options for higher education. If this sounds like you, depending on your work and life experience you may be eligible for mature age entry.

Eligibility and requirements

If you are over the age of 21 and do not have an assessable qualification such as an Australian Year 12 certificate, you may be eligible for entry into an ACPE course.

You must be able to provide evidence of your work and life experience and/or a recent Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) Multiple Choice test result. See STAT information here.

If you wish to apply for credit for industry experience relevant to your course, refer to ACPE’s Recognition of Industry Experience page.

The direct entry requirements for education degrees are sometimes just out of reach of students aspiring to become teachers. If you did not meet the direct entry requirements (3 Band 5s, one of which being English) in the HSC, you may be eligible for entry into the Pathway course.  ACPE has two teaching degrees, the Bachelor of Dance Education and the Bachelor of Education (PHE). Each of these degrees has a NESA approved pathway degree.

Eligibility and requirements

The education pathway is open to current year 12 and non-current school applicants.  You will be assessed on your performance in relevant Year 11 and/or Year 12 subjects.

We often encounter students who have not completed the HSC but have completed an AQF qualification of Certificate IV or above or a Tertiary Preparation Certificate at a TAFE or an Australian VET provider. If this sounds like you, you may be eligible for entry via the VET pathway.

Eligibility and Requirements

If you have completed an AQF qualification of a Certificate IV or higher or a Tertiary Preparation certificate, you can be considered for entry.

If you completed your VET course in a country other than Australia, the qualification must have been assessed as equivalent to an Australian qualification.

We value your experience. Fast track your study through the Recognition of Prior Learning. Upon receiving an offer from us, apply for credit for previous study by submitting an Application for Recognition of Prior Learning form along with all the relevant qualification information and verification documents to support your claim.

Please send your completed RPL form and the accompanying documents to the enrolment advisor. For information about Recognition of Prior Learning click here.
